Joe Shadel has been in the construction industry since 1986, over 27 years. He has vast experience in all facets of construction including but not limited to excavation, masonry, framing, roofing, plumbing, electrical, sheetrock, painting, finish cabinetry and much more. He has also completed numerous kitchen and bathroom remodeling projects as well as additions and decks over the many years he has been in business. The company has completed hundreds of residential sewer installations both gravity and pump types.
Many of the first clients are still with the company, and in fact one client had a 7500 square foot home completed by Joe Shadel General Contracting in 2000 which appeared in the Robb Report Magazine. The article is a page listed above.
Joe Shadel is meticulous with following all construction codes and stays current with all new and revised codes by attending construction code classes for both residential and multi-story commercial construction at CCM with instructor Bill Howard.
Joe has certifications in both the 10 hour OSHA Construction Safety and the OSHA 7600 Disaster Site Worker.
Joe has a BA in Food Marketing from Saint Joseph’s University in Philadelphia which is a far cry from the construction
industry but Joe always enjoyed working with his hands and the satisfaction from a job well done. He started as a handyman in Upper Montclair, NJ after a short stint in his field of study and has grown his business and his clientele over the years.
Joe also attended the Loyola University Rome Center, Rome Italy where he studied art and architecture.
With Joe’s family upbringing, father is a retired college professor and still is a professional musician and mother that was a grammar teacher, along with Joe’s education and travel experience enables Joe to be able to communicate with anyone at their level. He is well spoken and not afraid of any challenge presented to him. When Joe isn’t working he enjoys sailing on the Long Island Sound.
